Book Marketing & Distribution Support
Help Your Book Reach More Readers
PDP’s Book Marketing & Distribution Support service helps eligible PDP authors promote their books, receive orders, and coordinate nationwide delivery across Trinidad & Tobago.
“This exclusive service is available to authors who publish with Purpose Driven Publishers, as part of our commitment to not only help you publish your book—but also help you reach readers.”
Publishing the Book Is Only the Beginning
Many authors successfully publish their books, but then face another challenge—how to market the book, receive customer orders, and get the book delivered to readers.
That is where this service helps.
Through Purpose Driven Publishers (PDP) and Specialty Online Sales (SOS), eligible PDP authors can receive support with Facebook promotion, WhatsApp order handling, and courier coordination for local deliveries.
What This Service Helps You Do
This service is designed to help PDP authors:
-
promote their books on Facebook,
-
receive customer inquiries through WhatsApp,
-
confirm orders professionally,
-
coordinate courier delivery,
-
and expand sales beyond family and friends.
It gives authors a practical support system for selling more books throughout Trinidad & Tobago.
How the Service Works
1. Facebook Promotion
PDP / SOS can assist in promoting your book through a boosted Facebook post.
-
Suggested ad budget: USD $5 per day for 7 days
-
Total suggested ad spend: USD $35
-
The author pays the advertising cost
-
PDP provides setup and coordination support for eligible clients
2. Customer Orders
Interested readers respond through WhatsApp after seeing the promoted post.
SOS receives the inquiry and communicates with the customer.
3. Order Confirmation
Before dispatch, the customer must confirm:
-
full name,
-
delivery address,
-
contact number,
-
book price,
-
delivery fee,
-
and availability to receive and pay on delivery.
This confirmation process helps reduce failed deliveries.
4. Author Packaging
Once the order is confirmed:
-
SOS prepares the shipping information
-
the shipping label is sent to the author
-
the author prints the label
-
the author packages the book
-
the package is prepared for courier pickup
Since the author has the books in hand, the author remains responsible for packaging the book securely and preparing it for collection.
5. Courier Delivery
A courier service such as Odeliver collects the package and delivers it to the customer.
The customer pays cash on delivery.
6. Payment Processing
After delivery is completed:
-
the courier deducts its delivery fee,
-
the remaining funds are deposited into PDP’s account,
-
SOS transaction/admin fee is deducted,
-
and the author is paid for the books sold.
Funds are transferred to the author within 7 working days.
Important Service Notes
Advertising Cost
The author is responsible for the Facebook ad spend.
SOS Transaction Fee
A standard SOS transaction/admin fee applies per completed delivery.
Courier Cancellation Risk
If a customer cancels or refuses an order after dispatch, the courier may still apply the delivery fee.
In such cases, that courier charge remains the responsibility of the author, since the delivery attempt was already made.
For this reason, every order is confirmed before dispatch to help reduce risk.
Cash on Delivery
This service operates on a cash-on-delivery basis, which is often one of the most practical ways to facilitate local book sales.
Who This Service Is For
This service is ideal for PDP authors who:
-
already have printed books in hand,
-
want help promoting their books online,
-
need support with order handling and logistics,
-
and want to reach more readers across Trinidad & Tobago.
Why This Service Matters
Many authors have books with real value, but limited reach.
This service helps bridge the gap between publishing and actual sales by giving authors practical support with:
-
visibility,
-
customer engagement,
-
delivery coordination,
-
and local distribution.
It allows authors to focus on their message while PDP and SOS provide structure for promotion and fulfillment.
